Lampard Admits Having Selection Problem With His Team

Frank Lampard acknowledged having selection issues

Chelsea Boss, Frank Lampard, acknowledged having selection issues within his team. The Blues are going through a hell of a time in the Premier League right now.

Chelsea have lost five of the league’s last eight games and are in 8th place, five points behind the top four having played a game more.

Speaking about his squad after a 2-0 loss to Leicester City, Lampard said the following to reporters:

“We are not the finished article. Sometimes there are players who impress and are playing well.

“Sometimes there are players fighting to get into the team. You can’t just conjure up your best team. Players have to make the spot their own.

“In an ideal world, you find a team that are rolling.

“We were 16 unbeaten and it is easy to not change the team when you’re getting results.

“When you’re searching for form and individual improvement, it’s normal the team doesn’t pick itself.”
