Yeah, he might be bearing the names Joseph Oluwaseyi Temitope Ayodele-Aribo, typical Nigerian, right? But the truth is that Aribo was born in Camberwell, England to Nigerian parents.
As Nigerian Immigrants, Aribo’s parents, who are from Ondo State, left Nigeria to settle in London in search of greener pastures.
His parents were like some of us who are not affluent and had to engage in menial jobs and also struggled with finance to take care of family daily needs.
And so Joe Aribo grew up in the UK to a middle-class family background.
Aribo represents Nigeria at international level and has said his decision to abandon England for Nigeria was influenced because he used to watch Austin Okocha and Nwankwo Kanu play for Super Eagles.
Hear him: “I could have played for England but my parents are from Nigeria and I always watched players like Jay-Jay Okocha and Nwankwo Kanu as a kid,” Joe Aribo.
Let’s now go deeper into Joe Aribo biography. Come with me.
Now let’s start from Aribo’s age.
The midfielder was born on 21 July 1996 which makes him 24 years old.
Aribo started his football career in 2014 and played for Staines Town under Marcus Gayle in the Isthmian League Premier Division. He won the club’s academy player of the year award that year.
Joe then moved on to Charlton Athletic in September 2015 and signed a one-year contract in May 2016.
He debuted in their first team as a substitute in an EFL Trophy group stage match at The Valley on 16 October 2016.
Although Aribo got a contract extension offer from Charlton at the end of the 2018–19 season, he instead opted to sign a four-year deal with Scottish Premiership club Rangers.
His debut for Rangers came on 9 July 2019 in the Europa League.
It was against Ukraine on September 10, 2019 that Aribo made his debut for the Super Eagles and as far as I’m concerned the dude lived up to expectation.
Many fans like me were convinced about his future in the senior national team.
The newly invited Glasgow Rangers midfielder announced himself to the Super Eagles and the world when he scored the first goal of the in the 4th minute with a simple tap-in via an Alex Iwobi’s cut back as Nigeria played out a 2-2 draw with Ukraine at the Dnipro Arena in an international friendly.
Did you now that Aribo shares the same Nigerian agent as Everton playmaker Alex Iwobi?
Aribo is the fifth most expensive player in the Rangers squad, valued at 11 million pounds.
Rangers’ paid Charlton Athletic £300,000 compensation fee for Aribo because his contract had already expired.
Out of Rangers total of 58 players, the highest earning player is Jermain Defoe earning £65,000 per week while our dear Aribo’s salary per week is £8,100 and per annum is £421,200.
As for his Joe Aribo net worth, what there is are estimated figures which s said to be between $1 Million – $5 Million which is primary from his career as a soccer player.
Yeah, I know, most fans (especially the ladies) want to know Aribo’s relationship records.
So you see lots of these search terms on search engines: Who is Joe Aribo dating? Is Joe married? Who is the current partner of Joe Aribo?
Abi I lie? I no dey lie.
Anyway I have some good news for you girls, Aribo is currently single.
But, I can’t tell you for sure that he is not dating anyone. I mean, he’s not a monk!
And as for his past relationship(s) …… na wao, wetin concern you there? Aproko!
As for children, there is no record anywhere showing that Aribo has kids.
This guy is seriously coded I must tell you.
Ain’t no way he treks or board buses to everywhere he goes. And it’s not possible that he doesn’t have a home of his own – even if it’s rented.
There is nothing online that shows a Joe Aribo House or Car.
